Siltsoxx for Sediment Control

SiltSoxx from Filtrexx International is a compost BMP that stops sediment from leaving your work site. They cost less and outperform silt fence or straw wattle. It’s the proven approach to sediment control.

FILTREXX® SILTSOXX®

Filtrexx® Sediment control is a three-dimensional tubular sediment control and storm water filtration device typically used for perimeter control, inlet protection, check dams, slope interruption, and runoff diversion for sediment and soluble pollutants on and around construction activities.

Filtrexx® Sediment control traps sediment and soluble pollutants by filtering runoff water as it passes through the organic structure, and by allowing water to temporarily pond behind the device, allowing deposition of suspended solids. Sediment control is also used to reduce runoff flow velocities on sloped surfaces.

Siltsoxx is available pre-filled with composted ground hardwood (FilterMedia) in pallet quanities or as “net only”, fill on-site product.

PRODUCT USES

PERIMETER CONTROL

A sediment control and storm water filtration device typically used as a Silt Fence Replacement for sediment and soluble pollutants.

INLET PROTECTION

A sediment control and storm water filtration device designed for storm drain and curb inlet protection.

CHECK DAM

Used as a check dam device for stormwater ditches, channels, and swales. Slows flow velocity, reduces bed erosion, and filter sediment and soluble pollutants

SLOPE INTERRUPTION

Slope interruption minimizes soil erosion by reducing the slope length, which dissipates the energy of overland sheet flow runoff. Reducing runoff velocity reduces the potential of rill erosion on hill slopes.

RUNOFF DIVERSION

Runoff Diversion to redirect runoff that would otherwise flow to disturbed or erosion prone areas, toward stabilized areas, storm inlets, conveyance systems, or containment areas.

SEDMENT TRAPS

Traps are temporary dry pond detention systems used to capture sediment and settle suspended solids in runoff from disturbed soils less than 5 acres.
